Still there, but he doesn't seem to stop anybody nowadays.Rutiger wrote:This was years ago, but Sokha used to have a security guard posted at the end of their private beach physically stopping anyone from walking there from the adjoining, small public-access beach.Mr Cynical wrote: Regarding Sokha Beach. We have never been stopped from walking or swimming off the beach in front of the Sokha Hotel. I have seen issues when people want to use sunbeds toilets etc. without paying. These are probably the same people that walk into restaurants to use the bathroom without either asking or buying anything.

I think this is the Rizzle Dizzle, this is the most likely they are going to roll in with the bulldozers ever. If KM can't have his pier, then everyone else has to fuck off. Talk on the street at Khin's Shack was that the whole of Occheuteal was going to get skinned, not just Otres and the palace beach. The lot scraped clean, even Occheuteal pier now. Hawaii beach pier is the only point out now.

Should be interesting to see what monstrosity eventually replaces what was there. I imagine another poorly planned, poorly built Chinese mega-hotel resort complex with casino that privatizes the entire beach for their patrons.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
