Foreigner Injured Himself Avoiding the Alcohol Testing

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

What time were the coppers out?! early hours of the morning?! Watching out all you Sihanoukvillains
Think this was on Ekareach outside Lucky Ocean supermarket heading downtown. AFAIK this was one of two road blocks on Ekareach - the other one downtown somewhere - around Charlie Harpers I think. They will probably set up in the same places, but who knows. The word is that 11pm - 3am is the dangerous time.
Definitely +2 for Sihanoukville - cops are sleeping more in the daytime since they have to work so late.
i noticed that they are very quiet in the day time now, i am going out tonight (sober because of my fight) so will keep my eye out for these road blocks hopfully i get pulled so i can give a sober review of the system and give points accordingly lol

Take it that you didn't get pulled last night. Did you see or hear anything about road blocks ? With Chinese NY tonight I think the cops will be more pissed than us.Not necessarily a good thing. Just got home and won't go out no more today.

a bar owner said they was out last night, we didnt see anything, apparently when they scamming people by using the same mouth piece that will give false readings, if you refuse to do it unless they change the mouth piece then they just wave you on, typical shv

Hmm...can always buy a 'defective' one that always reads 0.04 to keep in your car. Use it to compare with theirs. Then argue with them till they wave you on.
