The World in 2025

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

1. THE US-JIHADI WAR WILL COME TO AN END
"Stratfor also warn terror attacks will continue to cause havoc, with some being largely successful."

so it wont come to an end then??

"While it remains a major economic, political and military power, the United States will “be less engaged than the past”, with the powerhouse learning some vital lessons from history."
LOL america learning something hahahaha

I just finished watching episode 1 & 2 of Showtime's new Dark Net. 2025 is already here.

The Japanese government is in serious debt and won't be spending much on new naval power, which is outdated anyway in the age of missiles. It's like investing heavily in horse-based cavalry. Pointless. The US losing world dominance is a given. It happens to every world power and the US is no exception. Holland and Spain were once the world's most powerful nations for goodness sake. Things change. Turmoil in China is also a given. That is what happens when people become more prosperous, they can then focus on personal freedoms and rights of expression as opposed to mere economic survival. China will continue to grow and grow, but there will be a serious series if economic crises with all those ghost cities and nobody who can afford to rent them bought by people who could never really afford to buy them in the first place.

The prediction about Russia falling apart seems absurd, and definitely NOT in 10 years time The current low oil price won't last forever. We will all be complaining about $200 per barrel oil before you know it and things will get back to normal for the oil-rich regimes in the world.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
