SI Net -- Finally, a ISP that provides good value

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

SI Net -- Finally, a ISP that provides good value

Post by Jacobincambodia »

Hey all -- just wanted to share my honest experience with SI Net. I was skeptical at first, given my technical background but I have them the benefit of the doubt after many conversations with one of their top guys. He spent considerable time sending me technical info and doing a great job answering all my questions. He continues to be my go to guy for additional questions or concerns.

The also have some of the best packages around.

*All packages include the same bandwidth up and down

*All packages include a dedicated fiber connection from their distribution point which is NOT shared.

*They have some excellent peering agreements in place for minimal latency

-15mb $50/month (this is the one we have) paid in advance

-35mb $100/month

Or 150mb (50mb gen internet usage, 50 mb local content and YouTube) the catch is that it is limited to 10 devices running concurrently.

If you are interested, I can do an email introduction for you. Coming from a technical guy, this is your best value in Cambodia

Pretty much! Plus they have a peering agreement in place with a CDN in Singapore so they get minimal latency. It works really good!
