Android keyboards

Post by Digg3r »

Wondering what keyboards everyone uses. Just downloaded a new one tonight. Fleksy. Apparently it's the record holder for speed. Seems quite good.

Can you use both hands to type with Fleksy,
Or are you using a single finger?

What? That's what Swype told me too! Maybe Fleksy just beat them.

Does it have that Swype feature?

That's a deal breaker for me. Even the Google Keyboard offers that feature now.

It's not a swype keyboard. It's designed for 2 thumb typing.

the crappy samsung stock one... because my current phone is a piece of shit that won't even support 3g, much less fancy keyboards.

*sigh*

it doesn't even have auto correct/spell check/etc.

Damn, count me out. I'm a 1-thumb Swyper myself.

We'll have a race sometime.

What is the penalty for giving someone the finger in a typing race? Do they erase his colon?

I'm a Swyper, but I swear to god I think Swype is taking the mickey in this country. Very often of the three suggestions it offers, none are actually valid words. Or, it correctly suggests the word I just Swyped, and then changes it to some alien word after I move on, purely out of spite.

Decided to try Fleksy.. Fast enough when typing standard English but kind of a bitch using non dictionary words which should be easier to skip over or add.

^welcome.

Off topic but cool. There is a hack for android/chrome browser to speed up scrolling by increasing the default buffer cache of 128k to 512k. Read it at wired.uk.co , just google it and put code into the address bar.

edit: Just read Vladimir's thread. Sorry. Good idea.
