Hidden Cameras in Siem Reap Guesthouse

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Mr. Yan wrote:Here I was worried about somebody recording me while I was dropping a deuce. What kind of data would be being collected on random travellers in Cambodia?
I'm guessing he's implying the anti-trafficking /rock spider ngos have guesthouses wired for catching pedos in action.

However, this sentence makes no sense :
Advocatus Diaboli wrote:Fair enough Mr. Yan, but let me explain you:

The culprits are no pornographs.

The culprits are highly criminal NGOs using pre-installed cameras in order to collect data.

These cameras have nothing to do with you or me or anybody renting a room in such a guest house.

You are dealing with observation........and nothing else.

These NGOs are very well financed by governments (mostly the US) and stand -just for this reason- above the law.

......and of course......if you should be running coincidentally into such a place you become a victim.

Wat?

So, these cameras are not there to film any of us, or any person who rents a room there, and the criminal ngo responsible for installing and monitoring the video feeds are observing and collecting data, but absolutely not doing anything else with the feed.

But If I stay there, I'm likely to be fitted up as a rock spider or similar?

Wow...I always figured AD was a basket case....but his posts on this thread prove it beyond doubt.

Let me tell you all ( tin hatters) a little secret about anti-surveillance ...mobile phone apps will NOT detect hidden surveillance cameras!

Fuck me...what have I signed up for!?

I’ve previously bumped heads with AD;
especially on his anti-marijuana stance
and his dubious medical advice.

Username Taken gave me such a mental beat down for taking AD to task before
that I left the site for some time
and found solace in experimenting with homosexuality.

I returned to battle AD after being inspired by Jamie's war in Malta with Schembri.

Anyways, I just re-watched the first season of da X-Files
and I think AD is actually onto something!

You guys are just not in the right frame of mind.

Re-read AD’s posts while playing this in the background:

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Come on, how hard is it to believe that NGO's have installed spy cameras in Siam Reap GH's in order to catch pedophiles and watch unsuspecting tourists use the shitter?

Good work AD keep it up, lets expose these people for what they are!!

Sorry, off-topic gentlemen:

Well, I was just trying to liven up my story with the homosexual part (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

If a reprimand from UT could actually turn a poster gay…I’d definitely have to buy him a bottle of the finest bourbon and learn all about that witchery.

Nevertheless, I’m with Duncan on this issue and would love to hear more about any anecdotes with the katoeys.

Also, what’s this board's ruling on the matter?
Does playing with katoeys qualify one as gay,
as Richard, himself, has politely inquired?

If so, does that qualify our esteemed Richard as “homosexual”?
I've seen Jamie perform in drag...does that count as anything?

On topic:
I think AD be playing his troll-like/devil's advocate bullshit-card again. He be good at da shit, but his game is weak.

Ha.....a New Zealander is hardly in the position to assess the mental condition of pretty much anything on this planet. Nice try though......now go and assess your ass.
