this guy might turn up in Cambodia!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Given the press coverage I doubt Cambodia will let him in (now).
Has Cambodia ever refused entry to any Westerner who arrived at a Cambodian border or airport?
@CN :They say that there is a entry blacklist for foreigners previously deported from Cambodia, but if this man has done nothing illegal in Cambodia and has ONLY been deported from Indonesia and Thailand, then he won't come up on the Cambodian blacklist and could presumably enter with no problem.

@Digg3r: But this should be the responsibility of Australia & NZ for allowing him to leave their countries and travel on their passports. And if I understand this right, Walbran is back in NZ and nothing can be done because he's only a paedophile on his Australian pp, so as a result he can travel freely on his NZ pp, and apparently he is not on a sex-offender list in either NZ or Australia, or he would not have been allowed to leave both countries as he did. ((I'm presuming here that travel is restricted for registered sex-offenders? ) Just wow.
The office of the Minister of Internal Affairs says no action can be taken over Peter Walbran's New Zealand passport because his sex crime convictions were under his Australian passport.
The supervision regime in the Act applies to returning offenders who were sentenced to more than one year in prison in another country; return to New Zealand within six months of their release from custody overseas; and were imprisoned for behaviour that would be an imprisonable offence under New Zealand law.

Way to go OZ & NZ - great international cooperation. Worse than useless. In the face of such firstworld efficiency, you could hardly blame Cambodia if they didn't get the memo either.
