Man needed to have one of his leg cut off for not taking it seriously after he had been bitten by dog

Kampong Chhnang: due to poverty and not taking it seriously, a man needs to have one of his legs cut off after the dog bite. His wound became really bad and infected after he got wrong treatment. He wasn’t sent to hospital since he got bitten. On 21 December 2015, we went to see the doctor at a private clinic and the doctor said it is too late for any treatment that could save his leg. His wound is really infected and the only solution is cutting off his infected leg.

According to the man wife named Pon Cheng, 46 years old told the Koh Santepheap Daily News, that her husband (victim) named Ket Sok, 48 years old. They have five kids. For more than a month ago her husband was bitten by a dog when he went to visit his in law family and at that time they don’t have money to get injection at the hospital. So, she brought him to cultural healer for treatment. He didn’t get better from the treatment, his leg became swollen then she brought him to community health center, but it didn’t really help at all. His wound wasn’t healed. Then, she wanted to bring him to provincial hospital, but she didn’t have money, moreover the local authority didn’t give her the letter from RHAC Organization that’s why she kept him at home until his wound became this seriously infected.

This morning the doctor who checked him called for the ambulance to bring him to provincial hospital to receive proper treatment and called the journalist to issues this aiming to receive some donations from kinds people for this needy family.

i hate how cat (and dog i think) scratches lump up like they do, what is with that? why do they get that raised lump but a normal scratch doesnt?

there is no mention about him being vaccinated against rabies?
if the dog had that then saving his leg becomes academic?

It's partly the body's reaction to the skin being broken and cats claws are dirty.

I'm glad they circled the leg as I was having problems finding it.

My neighbors have dogs, but some owners don't care even they bite anyone. Some people don't like them because of their pets and the owner reaction.
