2 Cambodian Men Were Locked In Agrovet Overnight by French Veterinarian Dr Arnaud Demarti
Two Cambodian men were locked up a night at Veterinary Clinic by a French Vet
-Two Cambodian men were locked up a night at Veterinary Clinic by a French vet after they refused to pay what the vet asked for.
-They agreed to pay only 20 up to 30 dollars instead of 75 dollar claiming that the vet did nothing to help their dog and their dog was already dead.
Phnom Penh: According to Kampuchea Thmey Daily News, two Cambodian men were locked in the house by a French vet as they refused to pay for treatment service was given to their dog. The event caused a shocking moment around 7:00 am at a Veterinary Clinic located at house number 40, street 111, Beoung Prolit commune, 7 Makara district, Phnom Penh.
The Cambodian men named:
1. Ma Chan Rithy, male, 21 years old, civil servant, living in Toul Kok, Phnom Penh.
2. Ung Ponlok, male, 30 years old, Ma Chan Rithy’s neighbor.
According to Ma Chan Rithy, owner of the dog, his dog was giving birth at home and she managed to give birth to two puppies and then she became really weak and couldn’t continue to give birth for other puppies. So he brought his dog to see the French vet at Veterinary Clinic located at 7 Makar district, Phnom Penh. It was around 4:00 am on 16 December 2015 when he brought his dog to the clinic. The French vet had a check on the dog and after a while it died along with its unborn puppies.
After the dog died, the French vet asked the owner to pay 95 USD for the service , but the owner refused to pay for it claiming that the vet didn’t do anything and the dog already died. The owner agreed to pay 20 up to 30 dollar instead of 75 dollar, but the French doctor didn’t agree.
The French man was mad with them, so he locked them in the house and drove off. Around 7:00 am on 16 December 2015 police appeared at the scene to intervene. Later the owner of the dog filed a complaint with the police at Beoung Prolit police station against the French vet for illegal detention.
After having received the complaint, police ordered the French vet to come to police station for questioning and addressing the problem. The result was not announced yet.

No matter what they did, seems that owner would know that it's not ok to imprison them overnight. Kind of stupid.

He should have called the police right then and there, not lock them in and drive away.juansweetpotato wrote:According to LTO, Calmette have be known to do the same on occasion. He has the right of response on here if there's more to the story than it seems.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark here and suggest the locals, being locals, waited too long before deciding to take their dog to the vet thus leaving the vet with basically a dying dog who he would have attempted to help. The two locals being as thick as fuck and not understanding even the basics of animal care and, of course, not accepting responsibility for their delayed action in taking the dog to the vet in the first place are just being cunts of the highest order by refusing to pay.
I am guessing here but it's more likely he locked them in a room, not the whole house. And to be fair, a good kick will open most internal doors here so there's more to this story than is being reported.
