Most won't be surprised. Discussion here on Khmer "journalism":

When you read any news articles in Cambodia you have to sift the information available through several filters. I used to think that with enough decoding I could probably obtain something close to the truth. But the best I can do here is to come up with several possible versions, all unverifiable.
So my idea in the OP was to set out my possible interpretations of the CD article here and see if anyone thought that one version was more plausible than the others. (All versions involve dishonesty and extortion Poster X - it's just a matter of who's doing what to who.)

I agree, the west is WAY more moral and has such great ethics!Poster X wrote:Is any member of this forum surprised in the slightest that Khmers take bribes and lie?? Because if you are you need to wake up and smell the coffee .. quickly ..
I mean, who could possibly question NATO's motives in Iraq...or Afghanistan...or Central America, or...the list is too long.
But yes, Khmers are amoral.
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right?

Usually we have ageing sexpats looking down on TEFLers, or dodgy property developers, self-proclaimed wankers at the top of their game (only losers choose Milan, Paris, Hong Kong or New York), who are here because they're making so much money, and they disagree violently when you tell them that Cambodia on their CV is like people finding Baywatch intellectually stimulating in TV terms.
Tell us about your fantastic career, Poster seX...and how you won that promotion to the world's premier destination for successful people.
Right-wing schmuck, by the sound of it.
