Cambodia News, (Preah Vihear): The Provincial Gendarmerie at Preah Vihear has completed the interrogation of four suspects involved in the murder of an 18-year-old youth who was beaten to death on the night on 1 January, and they were sent to court on January 5, 2021 to be punished according to law.

According to the military police, the four suspects are: Tola, Chien Vandy, and Soeun Soksan, all 20 years old, and Thi Vanthy, 17 years old. The four suspects live in Po village, Po commune, Tbeng Meanchey district, Preah Vihear province. The victim, Chhoeun Chien, was 18 years old, residing in Promeru village, Premeru commune, Tbeng Meanchey district. Preah Vihear Province.


The body of the victim was found floating in a pond in Wat Tuol Udom on the morning of January 2, 2021, in Promeru village, and the police investigation found that the victim had been beaten to death with hard objects before he was thrown in the pond.

Police then searched for three days until they identified seven suspects who were called in for questioning, and after questioning, police found that only four were involved in the murder.
The four suspects were sent to court by the military police to be tried on January 5, 2021.
