We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On August 03, 2020, a young woman aged 20 years old, went to the police station asking for help after getting abused by her African boyfriend.

The woman cried and reported to the police that she and her boyfriend, CHIMIRI DARAKA, from Africa (nationallity not given), have been together in a rented house for a year already. But, their relationship wasn't good. Her boyfriend always abused her. He had been aggressive, so she decided to leave him for a while.
Then, she went back to him and they lived together for 2 months. But the violence continued, so the woman filed a complaint at the police station. She is now waiting for her boyfriend to get a call from the police to sort out the problem.

Obviously have no clue as to the ins and outs of the relationship, but she is surprisingly slim for an African's girlfriend - I usually see them with the chunkier Cambodian girl.

Hey, stop stealing my point-scoring questions.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Can't understand why she would return, could assume for a nice pay out, but thats purely speculation. She more then likely loved him with all her heart.

I'm glad her face has been blurred I guess, but not quite sure why this story is in the public interest at all? "Abused woman seeks police help" is a familiar story the world over and should always be treated seriously, but if I was a female who had gone to the police for help in a personal domestic situation such as this, I wouldn't necessarily want the details plastered all over the media, blurred face or no blurred face. She's clearly still recognisable to those who know her, made even more recognisable by the added detail. I don't think there are that many Khmer women in PP with bleached blonde hair in long term relationships with Africans.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

Sure, but shouldn't the abuser be named and shamed. As you say, there are not that many Africans in a relation with a blond-hair Khmer woman.
Unfortunately, social media naming and shaming of guys who hit women seems to spread the message better about violent guys in the community than calling the cops. Khmers and foreigners included.
