Harry Corbett made it through Australia, Thailand and even Cambodia, before being found dead in Vietnam.

Former head boy at UK private school, 19, is found dead in a hostel in Vietnam six months after setting off on a backpacking trip with friends:

A talented teenage rugby captain described as an incredible bloke has been found hanged in a Vietnamese hostel while backpacking with friends in Asia. 

Tributes have been paid to committed sportsman Harry Corbett who died while travelling across Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The former head boy from Hordle, near Lymington, Hampshire, was a highly-respected rugby player with 'extraordinary passion and talent' and left the UK in December before travelling to New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Cambodia and then Vietnam where his body was found.

AN INQUEST has been opened into the death a "dedicated young rugby player" whose body was found in Vietnam.
New Milton Rugby Club player Harry Corbett was found dead in a hostel he was staying at with friends last week. The inquest was opened on June 2 by Hampshire coroners.

Tributes have been paid to the 19-year-old and the funeral is expected to be held sometime next week.

I tried unsuccessfully to explain to a middle-eastern private student why "he's a total bastard" and "he's a bit of a bastard" are polar opposites in Commonwealth countries. There was much lost in translation, and he eventually just accepted it as one of those things. A bit like not pronouncing the aitch on hours, or honorable, but definitely for horse and house (unless you're a cockney prat).
