From his FB page here is what Singapore minister George Yeo ate for lunch today in Phnom Penh. He doesn't mention anyone being dead. Or maybe he just didn't think it was as important as photographing his soup.

He left for Singapore last night an someone started a rumor he had a heart attack, why? who knows
If you look in that meta data, it shows Photoshop, meaning at least SOME editing was done. Changing the take date on a photo isn't rocket surgery either... you can literally just do it in windows photo gallery. and why remove it in case someone says they've seen it previously now you can say "no, look at the date!" And while a photographer may not bother, a PR official inside the government easily has reason to do so in many cases. Generally one should never rely on that data.

Correct, I was just making a general statement on the trusting of metadata from any government provided photographs... they have the people who can make them appear to be from any date, and if so motivated wouldn't hesitate to do so.
