Hitler never got a majority. He was appointed chancellor. After the Reichstag fire, he all but dismantled the civilian government.

Back on topic. Street justice occurs when there is a perceived lack of justice and security. The cops and the courts are clearly not protecting the people. What choice do they have?

That's why I asked how often police follow up nowadays. I didn't realise they had this attitude (now) of sending a message to the public that it is unacceptable

Possibly not intentional. The person may have quoted the wrong post and then erroneously deleted tags along with the unwanted post content. Or they may just be yanking your chain like TOG

Given the theif was 14, wouldn't it be appropriate to alter the thread title to female or young teenager rather than woman? I certainly wouldn't have commented as I did had I known she was 14.

Dear Violet.....Far from yanking anyones chain, I was simply pointing out how easy it is to alter quotations. Please do not make out I meant anything else.

What is wrong with calling her a woman? There is no set age at which people move from one category to another (teen years excepted)

Once past puberty, a girl becomes a woman and a boy becomes a man. They are both aware at this stage of what they are doing so if caught, expect punishment.

I think that a severe beating or the cutting of hair will be a a much greater incentive to stop them doing it again than a slap on the wrist and a fine. Very much like when we were at school. Canning if caught doing something wrong was a far greater deterrent than detention and you certainly did not do it again.

World is far to soft today and that is one of the reasons it is going to hell in a hand basket. The other being those luvvie liberals.
