Cambodia News (Kratie Province): On August 25, 2021, at Prek Saman, Chhlong district, Kratie, a woman and her son were stopped and detained by the patrol police when found smuggling wood logs in their minivan. Instead of complying with the police, they attempted to stop the police from searching their vehicle by causing a big scene on the roadside.

According to a video posted on Facebook by Ar Thom on August 26, which showed the policeman attempting to recover his keys from the woman, the purpose of the video was to publicly shame the patrol police for inappropriately touching the female suspect.
However, eyewitnesses at the scene say that the reason why the police touched her inappropriately was that she had snatched the police car key from him and concealed it on her person. The police had no choice but to search her purse and her pants, as the suspect would not return the key.

According to the police, the suspects were some known suspects who were suspected to have done illegal logging many times that got away. The woman in question had previously escaped being searched and arrested using the same trick of screaming sexual harrassment once before with another officer. This time, the policeman stood his ground.

It is not known exactly what charges will be filed against the woman.
