Woman Hit with Hoe in Revenge Attack

Cambodia News (Svay Rieng Province): At 10:30 am on January 10, 2023, in Bos Plang village, Romdoul district, Svay Rieng province, a 29-year-old man, Sem Punleu was arrested for attacking a woman farmer with a hoe.
The man admitted the attack to the police, saying that he targeted the 43-year-old woman, Art Bopha, as an act of revenge after a previous dispute between the two of them.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment, and the suspect is being held in custody for further legal proceedings.

Cambodia News (Battambang Province): At 9:30 pm on January 10, 2023, at a farm in Ampel village, Samlot district, Battambang province, a drinking party turned into a bloody dispute, when suspect Huch Socheat, 38, struck his buddy, Chhut Sorphorn, with a hoe.

According to the police, the two men were arguing while drinking, and in the heat of the quarrel, the farmer hit the victim over the head with a hoe, resulting in a cut to his skull and blood everywhere.
The suspect is being held in custody for further proceedings.
