A woman lost her life in the middle of the street after her husband went to seek medical help
(June 26, 2021 at 2:19 pm)

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the night of June 25, 2021, the body of a young woman was discovered along Street 2002, Sangkat Teuk Thla, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh; she was identified as Srey Leak, female, 20 years old. She had a miscarriage and had resulting health problems. Her husband was with her in her last moments.

The woman's aunt said that when the victim was two months pregnant, she took the fetus out, (via miscarriage or abortion ?), but she was still in pain and suffered bleeding and had lumps in the abdomen. On the day of the incident, the victim had a violent stomach ache and continued to bleed, so her husband took her to the hospital for treatment, but the woman died before she arrived at the medical center.

Doctors confirmed that the deceased was negative for Covid-19, and then handed over the body to the family for the traditional ceremony.
RIP.

Who honestly cares if this poor woman had COVID19, why mention it in the story even if it is procedure to check post-mortem - the poor woman is tragically dead at such a young age.

Sounds like she had ovarian cysts; my ex-wife had the same and had to have some serious surgery in London to put it straight, the bleeds were something else. RIP.

Sad.

Just needed to get a formal suction dilatation and curettage to get out all the products of the spontaneous abortion or miscarriage, and she would probably still be alive today to have a lifetime of children with her husband.

So preventable. It's so sad that they didn't seek help at the Family Planning or at KB Children's Hospital, where I'm sure they would have seen the woman and sorted out her problem for free.
When you don't have any money, you tend to avoid doctors and hospitals until it's an emergency, and then sometimes it's too late, as in this case.
Damn, she was only 20. Just a kid herself really. RIP.
