Woman's Body Found in Phnom Penh Guesthouse

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On August 14,2018, at 1:30 pm, a woman aged about 40 years old, was found dead in a room at Doung Chan guesthouse in Sangkat Tonle Basac, Khan Chmkarmorn, Phnom Penh.

According to the guesthouse owner, the victim and her boyfriend came to stay at the guesthouse on August 13, 2018. In the morning, the victim's boyfriend left the guesthouse on a motorbike, but the guesthouse owner didn't see the victim leave the room, so she tried to call her. When there was no reply, she peeked through the window and found the victim dead on the bed. She reported this to the police immediately.

The police went to examine the body but have not yet determined the cause of death. There are unconfirmed rumors that the woman was murdered, and the victim's boyfriend is the prime suspect.

At a guess, it's those "windows" on to a central corridor in the hotel which you can open with a piece of wire and a jiggle.

I was also going to comment on the guesthouse owner's innate ability to observe death as against sleep, on a bed, presumably from a distance....
