Woman Arrested After Driving Off with Phone

Daring daylight robbery, or just plain stupid ?

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On November 07, 2019, at 02:30 pm, a 36-year-old woman, Ny Rina, was arrested for stealing a phone at a phone shop in Khan Porsechey, Phnom Penh. The victim was identified as Tum Rati, a 31-year-old phone seller.

The victim said before the incident the suspect rode a motorbike plate no. 1CW 5837 to his shop and started to look at the phones. She took an iPhone 6 to look at, and then she put the phone in her bag and drove away on the motorbike. The phone seller followed the thief and called the police.

The suspect was taken to the police station to follow the legal procedures.
