COVID-19: Tally Reaches Nearly 50,000 with Detection of 723 New Cases
AKP Phnom Penh, June 29, 2021 --

The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia jumped to 49,255 with the detection of 723 new cases this morning.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, 98 of the new cases are imported and the rest are locally transmitted cases connected to the Feb. 20 outbreak.

The ministry also announced the recovery of 709 more patients; the total cured cases increased to 43,473.

Besides, the source added, the COVID-19 pandemic claimed 19 more lives; bringing the death toll to 575.

COVID-19: 999 New Cases Bring Tally to 51,384
AKP Phnom Penh, July 01, 2021 --
The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia jumped to 51,384 this morning after 999 new infections were detected.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, of the new cases, 132 are imported and the rest are locally transmitted cases linked to the Feb. 20 outbreak.

At the same time, the ministry reported 715 new recoveries; bringing the total cured cases in the Kingdom to 44,858.

Besides, the COVID-19 pandemic killed 26 more people; the death toll thus stood at 628.

COVID-19: 966 New Cases; Nearly 200 Imported
AKP Phnom Penh, July 02, 2021 --

Cambodia recorded 966 new infections of COVID-19 this morning, of which 192 were imported, pointed out the Ministry of Health in a press release.

COVID-19 tally in the Kingdom thus increased to 52,350, including 2,872 imported cases.

Meanwhile, 650 more patients have successfully been cured; the total recovered cases jumped to 45,508.

Besides, the pandemic claimed 32 new lives; the death toll thus stood at 660.

COVID-19: Daily Cases Almost 1,000 for Three Consecutive Days
AKP Phnom Penh, July 03, 2021 --

There are 948 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) reported in Cambodia this morning; bringing the tally to 53,298, the Ministry of Health announced in a press release.

According to the same source, among the new infections, 44 are imported, and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 outbreak.

Besides, the total number of recovered cases rose to 46,123 after 615 more patients have recovered from the pandemic.

But at the same time, 36 new deaths were registered; the death toll thus jumped to 696.

24 more Covid deaths, 993 infections as imported cases hit record high

The Ministry of Health on July 4 reported another 993 Covid-19 cases, 214 of which were imported.

The ministry also reported 24 new deaths and 617 recoveries.

As of July 4, Cambodia had recorded a total of 54,291 Covid-19 cases with 46,740 recoveries and 720 fatalities.

How many in PP and why did they stop publishing those numbers about the time vax was complete.

Does not look good.
They haven't finished vaccinations in PP, and it'll take two weeks from when they do before they reach their maximum potential (whatever it is). But I agree there seems to be a deliberate choice to have stopped publishing PP numbers and that's a real concern.

12 districts in Phnom Penh identified as hot zones for Covid infections

The Covid 19 Research Sub-Committee announced late yesterday that communes in 12 Khans in Phnom Penh had logged the highest number of Covid-19 cases on July 2.

In a statement, the Covid-19 Research Sub-Committee stated, “People in Phnom Penh who are living in the following Sangkats / Khans, to be careful, do not be negligent, and please wear masks and maintain social distancing in addition to regularly and thoroughly washing hands with soap and water.

According to the announcement, the 12 districts in Phnom Penh with the highest number of Covid-19 infections are as follows:

1-Khan Por Sen Chey (Kacap 1, Kacap 2, Choam Chao 1, Choam Chao 2, Choam Chao 3)

2-Khan Dangkor (Dangkor, Pong Teuk, Prey Sar, Sak Sampov)

3-Khan Meanchey (Stung Meanchey 2, Stung Meanchey 1, Boeung Tumpun 2, Stung Meanchey 3, Boeung Tumpun 1)

4-Khan Russey Keo (Toul Sangke 1, Kilometer 6, Russey Keo, Chrang Chamres 1)
