Western Tourist/ Vagabond Slept On The Sidewalk Near National Bank of Cambodia in Kampot

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

If he thinks hiding his meager valuables/phone in his underpants while napping will deter local jaos, he better have a look at the police blotter news headlines. Not only will they pull down his filthy shorts and have grab, but some of them will give him a free fist colonoscopy if they think he has so much as a a 1000 Riel note tucked in his arse.

He's a popular English teacher on break between classes.

He'll probably open his own school in a few months.

Yep! And yhat fire twirling stick (or whatever it is ) next to his head confirms it.

We know he's not Canadian, because he'd have at least one maple flag tattoo, and 3 patches on his backpack.

I'm in kampot at the moment. Haven't spotted any loonies, but plenty of older guys living a simple existence. Seems they can't even afford WAGs, as they are all alone at tables nursing draft beers. Nothing wrong with that- I was doing it too!

Espresso still rocks, and Rusty for a pint with a view is great.

I did however see a barang shooting around on what I can only describe as a one wheeled 'hoverboard' of sorts.
