Violence in Freedom Park this Morning
Seems like things are getting kind of crazy this morning at Freedom Park in Phnom Penh. Here's some pics:

Re: Violence in Freedom Park this Morning
Is this the first time in recent past that the demonstrators got one up on the police? I wonder if there will be a backlash and what that might be.
Re: Violence in Freedom Park this Morning
Apparently this time, it's the "security guards" who got badly beaten. (The Peck, was it really riot police officers or the private security guards/government thugs?)
They don't get my sympathy as they are also guilty of indulging in state-licensed violence, but they don't deserve the violence and beating either (nobody does in my view, even the worst scumbag).
If anything, that just shows the failure of the so-called pacifist, non-violent activists to inspire their own supporters and the failure of the government in its duty to maintain peace, safety and order.

Just read those. These are depressingly appalling.JBTrain wrote:Read the comments
