Cambodia News, (Takeo Province): Police of Prey Kabas District Police Inspectorate on May 2, 2023 arrested a female suspect in connection with a murder case, where a woman was found lying next to her motorbike, brutally stabbed to death, on May 1, 2023 in Ponsaing village, Champa commune, Prey Kabas district, Takeo province. The suspect was indebted to the other woman, and because she could not pay her back, she stabbed her creditor to death with a fruit knife.

According to Prey Kabas district police, the suspect was identified as Chuob Lina, alias Net, a 23-year-old female, who owed money to Kheng Srey, female, a 45 year old farmer. Both women live in Ponsaing village, Champa commune, Prey Kabas district, Takeo province.

Police confirmed that the body of the victim was stabbed six times with a knife, causing her almost immediate death. Left behind at the scene were 1 black 2015 Honda Dream 125 series motorcycle and a key, a sharp fruit knife, and 1 pair of black pair of shoes.


Currently, the woman suspect, Chuob Lina, has been sent to the Prey Kabas District Police Inspectorate to build a case to be sent to court, where she will be charged with murder.
