Cambodia News, Pailin: At 1:05 pm, on October 10, 2019, the prosecutor attached to Pailin Provincial Court and Major General Seng Sokun, Pailin's police chief, ordered a raid on the home of a 35-year-old female in the village commune Krao District Pailin. The Vietnamese woman was suspected of sex-trafficking.
During the police raid, four women aged from 22 to 35 were taken into custody on suspicion of sex work, after a number of used and unused condoms were produced as evidence of sexual activity. Six male customers were also detained by the police: one local Cambodian, one Thai, and four Chinese nationals.
The case goes to the Anti-Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Bureau, which has been working to build a case for the prosecution.
