Vietnamese at Bokor, what must we do?
So now we must be concerned that Vietnamese are visiting Bokor...painfully ironic as the road to Bokor and original structures were built primarily by Vietnamese prison labor gangs, as many as 20,000 having sacrificed their lives so the French could play roulette in a cool climate with a view of the sea and Phu Quoc.

Nothing new. Bokor is owned by the vn govt. Most parts of Cambodia is already Vietnamized. PP, Svay Rieng, Kampot, Siem Reap, Kompong Thom and a few more. The CNRP and the Khmer patriots should exert their effort improving the lives and livelihoods of their fellow Khmer. But what can you change when you have leaders like Sam Rainsy and his idiots who is afraid sleeping on a bed with a mosquito net. The last national I would trust in the West is the French.

The Vietnamese domination is not visible to the naked eyes. I observe every where I go, and I think you know that I speak Vietnamese--hell they even think I am one of them so some very open up about it...Cambodia provide them economic opportunity with the help of their government. I dont really have to prove nothing really--50 meters out from my home are filled with VN business owners, cops down dare. Check out Taphul and Sok san road the next time you are in SR. Or across the Prey Kdam bridge in PP, or city center in Svay Rieng, or the market in Kampot, or the one who in charge dredging sand in kampot and sell it to Singapore, or the newly constructed 14 floor building in Kompong thom, or Angkor temples, or Sokimex, or human organ traffickers.

That's presence not domination but whatever I've wasted enough time on this.

Not that I care. Its not like the prevalence of it affect you anyway. Anyone who says the current ruling government is not a muppet of the VN and now the Chinese are either clueless or straight up liars.

The ruling class Vietnamese in Cambodia have no respect for the poor local people, smack talk in front of them in their language, upset when being called Youn but perfectly acceptable for them to call the Khmer 'Meing,' tried to change the name of traditional Khmer dish from 'Somlor Machu youn' to 'Somlor machu Vietnam'. Treat the khmers who work for them like slave. Illegally go into Cambodia by the thousands. Make no attempt to learn and speak the local culture. Disallow Kumpuchea Krom to have Khmer school and surnames must be in Vietnamese.
The Vietnamese saved Cambodia from the Khmer Rouge is getting old. They benefit massively from it and never willing to let go. Ultimate decision comes from there, the prime minister body guards are train from there etc. The Vietamese airlines monopoly is just the tip of the ice berg.
What positive things have vietnam contribute? Might be 1 or 2, but I cant think of any.

Go Read Tim's article on the subject. I think its on khmer440. I'd rather be buddy buddy with Nam then China...anyday. Chinese just reproduce like plant cells. They are impregnating the locals and treat the land like shit.

Re: Vietnamese at Bokor, what must we do?
I'll ignore FC's ramblings except to point out that after sitting mostly unused since 1941 Bokor was redeveloped by Sihanouk beginning in 1962 as a place for foreign visitors, with Cambodian Chinese and Vietnamese predominant from its opening in 1963. It was never to be a place for the Khmer elite as they were forbidden to gamble even then and clearly didn't go from the descriptions of the period.
