Vadim Scott Benderman Arrested Again In Vietnam
A Canadian man who had once been arrested in Cambodia is now having a problem in Vietnam after he had sex with street boy.
A Canadian man, who had been once arrested in Cambodia for having sex with Cambodian boy back in 2014, is now having the same problem in Vietnam.
Hanoi Police are now investigating the case after a Canadian man was accused of having sex with Vietnamese street boy aged from 13 to 15 years old. He was arrested on Friday evening, according to Vietnam local news.
Police said his name is Vadim Scott Benderman, 45 years old. He had slept with a lot of young boys, and he gave them from 4 dollars to 17 dollars each time he slept with them. Most of the victim children were homeless children who live in Hanoi city and the nearby provinces.
He entered Vietnam via tourist visa in 2014. He worked as a musician in a nightclub in Hanoi city, and he is also a teacher of English at a language center, police said.
According to Vietnam local news, this man was arrested once in Cambodia for the same crime. In January 2014, Koh Santepheap Daily and Phnom Penh Post reported that Benderman was arrested in a hotel. Police said, he brought a 14 years old boy to sleep with him and gave him 2 dollars in return.

Canadian accused of abusing teens in Vietnam arrested with help of charity
The Canadian man who was sentenced in Vietnam to four years in jail for abusing teenage boys was caught with the help of an Australian charity that located his victims and tipped off police.
Vadim Scott Benderman, 45, formerly of Montreal, admitted during his half-day trial on Wednesday that he lured four boys into his home in Hanoi and paid them between $10 and $15 to have sex, according to a Hanoi court official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
A judge sentenced Benderman to four years in prison and ordered he be expelled from the country after serving his sentence, the official said.

Re: Vadim Scott Benderman Arrested Again In Vietnam
According to someone on the Cambodia Scammers Facebook Page, Vadim Scott Benderman has escaped prison in Vietnam and is possibly heading back to Cambodia.
"Well known child molester Vadim. Coming soon to a playground near you.
The prick in the picture is a multiple child rapist. Somehow seems to have sneaked out of jail in vtnm and possibly heading here. Was up in Battambang for some time, up to the same tricks."

Re: Vadim Scott Benderman Arrested Again In Vietnam
Whatever happened to ...
Old story - a convicted Canadian child sex abuser was last heard of heading for Cambodia after escaping from jail in Vietnam in 2016. Updates ?
Last information in the media:
How Canada let a Child Sex Abuser Go Free

June 2017
When Vadim Scott Benderman landed in Hanoi, Vietnam in June 2014, it was his second fresh start in an Asian country in as many years. As he had throughout his 12 years living in Asia, the longtime Canadian expatriate would make his money teaching English. The rest of his time would be spent fronting bands at bars and small live music venues, indulging dreams of rock ’n’ roll fame.
But by October, his fresh start had already turned rotten, as allegations of sexual abuse began to filter up from the streets to Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, a nonprofit for vulnerable youth. The homeless teenagers that scraped out a bare existence in the capital couldn’t settle on one name — sometimes it was “Ben,” sometimes “Dan,” according to the charity’s founder Michael Brosowski. But they were as one in their insistence that a middle-aged foreign man was soliciting them and their peers for sex.
It would be another 15 months before Scott — Benderman being his rarely used second surname from his stepfather — was convicted of sexually abusing four homeless boys aged 13 to 15. Luring the boys to his rented home, he would pay each of his victims between $10 and $15 for sex. After an hours-long trial on Jan. 13 last year, a Hanoi court sentenced him to four years in jail.
Fifteen months might seem like an inordinate amount of time to bring a child sex offender to justice. But in Scott’s case, it is just a paragraph in a much longer, meandering saga. A months-long investigation reveals the Canadian’s conviction to be part of a winding trail of allegations and brushes with law enforcement that spans several countries and goes back at least a decade — one which Canadian authorities were informed of several times but failed to act on. Despite Canada’s official commitment to fighting child sex abuse by its citizens abroad, solidified in laws that allow prosecution for crimes committed overseas, official channels — including two foreign embassies — stand accused of failing to address reports against Scott that could have prevented child sex abuse in several countries.
