Two Men Arrested for Smuggling Wildlife from Poipet

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Bantey Meanchey, Cambodia News: On August 5,2018, at 11:30 am, two men were arrested for smuggling wildlife from Poipet to Preah Netpreah district. The suspects were identified as Ban Pharak, 28 years old and Yan Yen, 39 years old.

The police chased the suspect's car which was trying to escape from Banteay Meanchey to Siem Reap. On the National road 6, the police took a big truck to block the road; but they were able to run away, so they drove the car to a villager's house, then drove into a canal. They got arrested immediately.

After the arrest, the police took the suspects to the police station and called the crane truck to take the car out of the canal.
