Two Japanese Nationals Arrested for Murdering Taxi Driver in Siem Reap, Cambodia
CAMBODIA NEWS (Siem Reap): On the evening of March 17, 2019, at 5pm, a Poipet taxi driver was stabbed (throat slit) to death by two Japanese men, identified as Reimon Ishida and Ryuji Nakakuki, on National Road 6 in Siem Reap province.
The two Japanese citizens, identified as Reimon Ishida (石田礼門) from Chiba, Japan and Ryuji Nakakuki (中久喜龍二) from Fukushima, Japan, both aged 23, are reported to have slit the throat of the driver before throwing him out on to the road and driving off with the car.
The Japanese men had hired the taxi, driven by 40-year-old Cambodian man, Hoem Chan, in Poipet. When the car was near to Kok Dang village, Siem Reap province, they brutally stabbed the driver in order to steal his car. However, the Japanese killers didn't know how to drive, and they crashed the car into a rice truck 300 meters further down the road. They attempted to run away but they were quickly apprehended by local people at the scene.
Police are still investigating this murder, and there are reports that there was a third person involved who ran off before the other two were arrested. It is also not clear if Mr Ishida or Mr Nakakuki were in Cambodia as tourists or living here, as they had just entered the country from Thailand very recently. According to local news media, both men have admitted to murdering to taxi driver and it's suspected by many that drugs may have been involved in this horrific crime.
They are likely being detained in the Siem Reap police station for more questioning into the murder and awaiting a court appearance before charges are filed.

Of greater concern is the condition of the driver. How extensive are his wounds?
Re: Two Japanese Stab Taxi Driver to Death to Steal Car
I think when the subject is "to death", his wounds were pretty terminal...

Yeah, I don't know how, but I missed that. A damned inexcusable homicide. Condolences to the family and friends of the victim and sorrow for the families of the suspects.

Darwin Award contenders. Steal a car to get away, but don't know how to drive.
PPPPP - Prior planning and all that.

"As supposed to an excusable homicide?"
Yep, can you not imagine circumstances where it was either you or them? Or perhaps where the life of a loved one was at risk? I simply don't comprehend such naivete.

Re: Two Japanese Stab Taxi Driver to Death to Steal Car
More than that - from wikipedia (talking about the law in the USA):
Homicide is the act of one human killing another. ... Homicides can be divided into many overlapping legal categories, including murder, manslaughter, justifiable homicide, killing in war (either following the laws of war or as a war crime), euthanasia, and capital punishment, depending on the circumstances of the death.
And:
The concept of justifiable homicide in criminal law (e.g. as opposed to culpable homicide) stands on the dividing line between an excuse, a justification, and an exculpation. In certain circumstances, homicide is justified when it prevents greater harm to innocents. A homicide can only be justified if there is sufficient evidence to prove that it was reasonable to believe that the offending party posed an imminent threat to the life or well-being of another, in self-defense. A homicide in this instance is blameless[1] and distinct from the less stringent criteria authorizing deadly force in stand your ground rulings.
It is a common misconception that homicide is necessarily a crime.
