Cambodia News(Sihanoukville): On October 5, 2020, the police seized two AK guns with 11 bullets, that were found on the road to Say Hak mountain, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville.


After receiving the information from the local people, the police went to the scene to check, and they confiscated 2 AK guns, two magazines, and 11 bullets that were found there. The guns were taken to to the police station for the investigation.

Cambodia News, Sihanoukville: The Governor of Sihanoukville this evening ordered police to conduct a stop and search control roadblock, in order to look for weapons and drugs in vehicles tonight, on October 05, 2020 (from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm), in Village 1, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville.




Two tasers (shock-sticks) were confiscated by the authorities.

Cambodia Breaking News, (Sihanoukville): This evening, at 8pm on 6 October 2020, Sihanoukville Unity Command under the direction of the Governor of Sihanoukville posted a vehicle checkpoint in front of Chea Sim Primary School on Borey Kamakor Street in Village 2, Sangkat 2, Sihanoukville.

Mr. Kong Sophea, Deputy Governor of Sihanoukville, said that during the operation to search for explosive weapons tonight, the police stopped many cars and motorcycles, including a black Alphat car with license plate Phnom Penh 2BE-0032 driven by a Chinese man.

He said that in addition to finding a Glock pistol and two chargers in the car, police also found a small package of drugs that was dropped near the checkpoint while the officers were searching in vehicles in front. The identity of the drug owner has not yet been identified.


According to the police, the six Chinese nationals who kept a handgun in the luxury car are currently being detained, and are being held for questioning by the Sihanoukville Inspector in accordance with legal procedures.

Are these illegal? They sell them openly at Central Market.

Chinese kidnappers use them on their victims, so maybe illegal in SHV.
Also, knives, machetes, samourai swords, big sticks etc are sold legally, but can be illegal weapons if you are carrying one in your car or on your motorbike.
