Two Chinese Men Injured with Gunshot Wounds in Sihanoukville

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Gone are the days of wild parties at Utopia and JJ`s. I remember hiding out from my friends at the corner bar just to get a nights rest from it all.

Where to go next?

Anybody who has been reading the threads about Sihanoukville over the last 3-4 years or so will tell you its not an isolated incident by a long long way

I should have used the words better too explain, being that this incident was actually we're guns have been fired and shot at the people they had intended. I don't recall seeing this regular, more kidnapping, and the chop chop of the meat clever in the evening. Though plenty carrying gun's, and more being found. I understand that crime involving Chinese has been on the rise from day one. But if they start using the guns, then that crime is going to be at a different level. My point there is will the Cambodian authorities be able to handle such situations.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

They can handle it no problems,it's a matter of do they want to, and possibly step on the wrong shoes.

It’s an opening to bring more the PRC’s security apparatus (aka troops, cameras, overall surveillance) straight into the Kingdom of Wonder.

Which might result in the average Khmer wondering what happened to his country in a few years.

They stopped making them in 2009. You can get one here for less than $20,000.

Sure, these two-bit gangsters firing a Czech pistol at a tattoo parlor are obviously secret PLA operatives. :?
Silence, exile, and cunning.
