Turtles, Snakes and a Wildcat Saved From Pursat Traffickers
Cambodia News (Pursat): On December 5, 2019, at 2 pm, the police cracked down on wildlife trafficking in Thleak Ampel village, Kandeang district, Pursat.
The Royal Gendarmerie collaborated with Kandeing district police to raid a suspected house that belongs to a 34-year-old man, Kong Khunna, and his wife Hor Sina, 34 years old. The police found 17 turtles for 12,04 kg, 1 wildcat for 9 kg, and snakes for 45.30 kg.
The rescued wildlife was sent to the Ministry of Kandeang forestry administration, and the suspects have been arrested and are being questioned by the authorities.
