EXCLUSIVE - 'It's so good to be home': Brit freed from Cambodia after Twister style sex position game tells of his relief at leaving jail as he arrives in UK
15 February 2018
A Briton arrested in Cambodia over a 'twister-style sex game' party has told of his relief after being kicked out of the country and sent home.
Tom Jeffries, 22, told of his ordeal as he had to shave his long ginger hair to protect from head lice while he was held in tough Siem Reap prison.

Mr Jeffries, from Fareham, Hampshire, was arrested with nine more revellers at a 'Let's Get Wet Party' in a private villa in Siem Reap, a town near the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. He was told he could face a year behind bars in the foreign country.

Meanwhile his father Gary and the rest of the family were thousands of miles away back home worried about him.

Speaking for the first time since his release, he MailOnline: 'I'm very pleased to be back in the UK and I'd like to thank my family and friends for their tremendous support during this recent ordeal. 'I'd been in Cambodia for two years. I love the country and greatly respect the people and the culture.
'I didn't know that attending a social pool-side event, which happen almost every day in Siem Reap, would be offensive to the Cambodian culture and I sincerely apologise to anyone who was (offended). I meant no disrespect to the Cambodian people. I completely deny the charges made against me.'

Mr Jeffries was released on bail, his passport was returned and he was advised that he was free to leave the country of his own volition last Friday. He arrived back in the UK the following day.

His father, Gary added: 'Tom was released on bail, his passport was returned and he was advised that he was free to leave the country. He left the country of his own volition on Friday, arriving back in the UK on Saturday.'

Tom was one of four Brits deported including Paul Harris, 32, Vince Hook, 35, and Billy Stevens, 21, although charges against them still stand.

The alleged partner organiser Dan Jones, 30, is believed to have been kept in Cambodia along with two Canadians, a Norwegian, a New Zealander and a Dutch national. Those left behind face up to a year in prison over producing pornographic pictures and materials.
[Note: It is understood that the others have since been released on 'bail' under the same conditions .]

A prosecutor accused party organisers of circulating obscene images online to promote the event.
Jones is said to have organised three pub crawls a week inviting 100 people to pay £5 a head for the crawl and for drinks at his private home.
Another freed Brit, Paul Harris, 32, was manager at the Angkor Wat pub where the events began. The events have been permanently cancelled.

"Mr Jeffries was released on bail, his passport was returned and he was advised that he was free to leave the country of his own volition last Friday. He arrived back in the UK the following day."
so they are OUT on bail which means the court will still pursue the matter, lawyers will need to be paid and we are all sure they will voluntarily return for their court case.. :stir: :thumb:

From the information we have on the forum, the following is incorrect.
The alleged partner organiser Dan Jones, 30, is believed to have been kept in Cambodia along with two Canadians, a Norwegian, a New Zealander and a Dutch national. Those left behind face up to a year in prison over producing pornographic pictures and materials.
Also, EITHER, they left the country by choice, OR they were deported.
Mr Jeffries was released on bail, his passport was returned and he was advised that he was free to leave the country of his own volition last Friday. He arrived back in the UK the following day.

Tom was one of four Brits deported including Paul Harris, 32, Vince Hook, 35, and Billy Stevens, 21, although charges against them still stand.
But TIC, so "You are out on bail, now please leave the country immediately (and don't come back)" sounds like a plausible scenario.

It appears that the Brit Daniel Jones wasn't released as previously reported. His lawyer says that he is unlikely to be freed on bail before the matter goes to trial because his case is "more complicated" than the others.

Two more foreigners arrested in Siem Reap 'pornograpy' case released on bail, leave Cambodia
Kong Meta | Publication date 15 February 2018 | 19:48 ICT

Only one foreigner remains in jail in Siem Reap for allegedly producing “pornographic” content after the release of two more suspects earlier this week.
Lawyer Ouch Sopheaktra said the two received bail approval on Monday after submitting a request last Thursday. They were released in the evening on condition that they leave the country.

“The two are Norwegian and Dutch and flew home on Tuesday,” Sopheaktra said.

The pair were detained along with nearly 80 other foreigners at a party in Siem Reap at the end of January. All but 10 were released that day, with the suspects held on charges of “producing pornography”. Seven of them were released on bail and flew home last week.

Sopheaktra said the court had not decided whether or not to proceed with a hearing – despite those released having been required to immediately leave the country. The last suspect, a British man, remains in prison, he said. “We don’t request bail for this man because in the reports he was the one who organised the party, so if we file a request they won’t let him out.”

"Twister style sex position game"
I don't know why the mail is continuing towing this line.
As far as I can tell, while they were accused of such, none of the arrestees were involved in any pub crawl games.
Essentially they were arrested for attending a pool party.

It was reported in the Guardian that the remaining prisoner, Daniel Jones, was previously arrested by the cops after undercover police witnessed the "sex twister" game on a Siem Reap pub crawl.
The arrests of the 10 did not come out of the blue. Jones had been warned not to host Let’s Get Wet after the organisers of another event, Siem Reap Pub Crawl, were arrested two weeks previously, when police sent an officer undercover who witnessed games such as “sex twister”. They were released but given a fine and a caution and made to sign a piece of paper saying they would leave the country. Two of them did not, and chose instead to work for Jones at Let’s Get Wet.

I don't know why the dirty dancers, especially Paul Brasch, are continuing the "at no time were we involved in any pornographic activities" line. We've all seen the tittyporn which was filmed at a Siem Reap pool party and posted on the Let's Get Wet facebook page by Paul Brasch.

Oh, horseshit.

They were arrested for publicising what Cambodians regard as lascivious, immoral parties. Would you invite your parents to one of theirs?

At least be honest.

I've been to many pool parties, most of them I'd be happy to invite my parents to.

They crossed a line by advertising it.
