Re: Girl Raped And Brutally Killed
I'm no CSI, but from the pictures this looks more like plain old murder than rape and murder.
Re: RE: Re: Girl Raped And Brutally Killed
I just cleared my tapatalk cache and the new images do indeed show as previews instead of the blood and guts. ThanksGeneral Mackevili wrote:Added an image in the spoiler with the warning first. I think it won't change for people who already have it cached in their tapatalk.
FYI, my cache was 2.5GB! Haven't cleared it since I set up this phone mid 2014.

Yeah, glad it worked, and thanks for reporting back on it.

I don't think it is at the first image. I might see every pictures on tapatalk, but fortunately, it shows only half picture.epidemiks wrote:Tapatalk simply grabs the first image in the thread to use as a thread preview, regardless of spoiler tags. This had been pointed out previously, and ignored.prahkeitouj wrote:Me too. I don't need to see that without warning!
One way to prevent it is to simply not post the gruesome death photo in the thread - the link to the article is surely good enough for those who actively seek out gore gallery style photojournalism. Or, if that's a bridge to far for CEO hot news, add a single non gore photo before the gore, and tapatalk should only show that as the preview.

All respects to the dead, but is it us who are squeamish and distant from the sad facts of reality, or is it voyeurism on the part of the locals? In the West we are very much segregated from the true realities of life - people die, horribly. Is it us who are wrong in pretending it doesn't exist, or is it the fault of those whose lives are so visceral that brutal murders are just a curiosity?

For me, I'm just immune to it all. There honestly isn't a spoiler in existence that I wouldn't click on during breakfast.cptrelentless wrote:All respects to the dead, but is it us who are squeamish and distant from the sad facts of reality, or is it voyeurism on the part of the locals? That said, I do think it's more than reasonable to make sure graphic images aren't displayed without warning.
That said, I've had a hell of a lot of friends who have died, often in brutal ways, so death in itself has never really been taboo in my mind. Considering that every single person who lives also dies, I would think society as a whole would be rather used to it, but death is almost invisible in the West.
Some countries when people die the family gets together and washes the corpse. Fuck that, but it would definitely make you feel different about dead bodies and shit.
That said, I hate the sight of blood and always feel faint when I get near a needle at the doctor's office.

Sad to hear that. No one deserves a brutal death.General Mackevili wrote:
