Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey Province): On the afternoon of February 25, 2023, the Anti-Drug Forces of Poipet City Police arrested and sent a suspected drug trafficker to the Inspectorate for interrogation, along with drug exhibits.

According to the authorities, following the orders of Major General Sithi Loh, Banteay Meanchey Provincial Police Commissioner, and under the direct guidance of Colonel Ek Reuk Sao Saroeun, Poipet City Police Inspector, at 11:48 on 24 February, police raided a rented room in Poipet City, where they found one suspect named Nguon Sophan, male, 41 years old, Cambodian nationality.

Upon searching the suspect's room, the specialized force found the following evidence:
1. 16 medium-sized bags of white crystal drugs
2. 8 small packets of white crystal drugs
3. 69 red tablets with the letter WY (yama)


It should be noted that the next day, on February 25, 2023, the Anti-Drug Force of Poipet City Police Inspectorate searched another room rented by the suspect where they found the following exhibits:
4. 13 large bags of white gram powder suspected to be drugs.
5. 2 small bags of white gram powder suspected to be drugs.
6. Recycled bottles for drug use
7. A subwoofer.
The Anti-Drug Force then took the suspect to the inspectorate for a procedural interrogation and a urine test for drugs which tested (+).
