"Chinese Tea" Time Again in Phnom Penh

Cambodian Busted with 3Kgs of Chinese Tea
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the evening of August 3, 2021, the Kraing Thnong Administrative Police Force, in cooperation with the Anti-Drug Department of the Ministry of Interior, raided a rented house in Prey Khla Village, Sangkat Kraing Thnong, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

Inside the house, police found a male suspect, and three packets of the drug methamphetamine (or ICE), which were packaged as Chinese tea, weighing approximately 1kg each. The suspect was identified as a 29-year-old Cambodian national named Keo Narong.

The suspected drug trafficker was taken to the Ministry of the Interior, together with the 3kgs of drugs, a set of scales and other drug equipment.

Tea for two? Three kilos in this case, I am now edging to the thought that the tea packaging belongs to Cambodia.

UPDATE: 3 more suspects arrested
Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: Over 3kgs of "Chinese tea" were seized on August 3, 2021, at 14:00, when the collective forces of the Anti-Drug Department (A11) led by Lt. Col. Siphalla, Lieutenant Colonel Cheav Tola, and Mr. Seng Khun Nang, raided a location at Prey Khla Village, Sangkat Kraing Thnong, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

Following the arrest and questioning of the first suspect, three other suspects were detained:
1-Name is Saksith, Male, 22 years old, Cambodian.
2-Name is Long Dane, male, age, Khmer nationality.
3-Name is Keo Narong, Male, 29 years old, Cambodian.
4-Name is Leng Vanna, Male, 27 years old, Cambodian.

B - Captured exhibits:
- Methamphetamine (ICE) net weight 3. 447,79 kilograms, including 3 x 1 kilo packages of "Chinese tea"
- Scales

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): In a new case, on August 23, 2021 at 19:30, the specialized force of the Anti-Drug Department (A10) led by Colonel Yim Sen Udom, Deputy Director of the Department, arrested a suspect named Mil Pov, male, 31 years old, Cambodian, in Dangkor, Phnom Penh. They seized 2054.21 grams of methamphetamine (ICE) wrapped in Chinese tea packaging.

Currently, the suspect and exhibits have been sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for further proceedings.
