Kandal Man Murders Ex-Wife Because of Jealousy

Cambodia News, Kandal : A 26-year-old woman, Kao Sreykeo, was murdered by her ex-husband on the night of October 2, 2020, on the street in Prek Ho village, Takmao city, Kandal.

Neighbors found the victim's body covered in blood on the street after getting stabbed three times by the suspect, once on the face and twice on the back. After killing the victim, the suspect used the victim's phone to call her brother and told him that he had killed his sister.
Then, the suspect ran away from the scene of the crime and went to confess at Kandal Steung district police station. He said that he had killed his ex-wife because of jealousy.
The victim has only a brother as family, as well as two kids after getting a divorce with the suspect.

The police went to the scene to examine the body and concluded that the suspect stabbed the victim so fast, causing her to die from loss of blood.
After the post mortem examination, the woman's body was returned to the family for funeral preparation. The suspect remains in custody for questioning.

That knife is bent over because of the force used to stab it into that poor woman.

Exactly. It's a kitchen knife and likely bent when it hit a bone when stabbing in the back. Poor woman/brother. The guy's face shows zero remorse, a lot of jealousy murders here it's always saddening.

At times it really seems like dealing with emotions is a national issue here, and they should maybe focus on that more than covid or whatever. Maybe it's just an impression from what's reported, but I'd be interested in seeing a per capita breakdown of violent assault/murder due to "jealousy" and other such issues compared to other nations.

Nope, check out the photo again, it’s a regular straight bladed kitchen knife, and the blade has been bent 90 degrees sideways.
