Mass Poisoning Outbreak at Ratanakkiri Funeral

Ratanakiri, Cambodia News: An outbreak of mass food-poisoning was reported on Thursday, November 8, 2018 in Lumber Kraen village,Ou Chum district, Ratanakkiri .
Dr Oung Rattana, director of the provincial health department of Ratanakkiri province, said that at least 160 people were poisoned by food they ate while attending a funeral. A medical team was dispatched to the site immediately after the authorities were notified. The preliminary report blames the poisoning on unsanitary food served at the funeral ceremony.
All the victims are expected to recover.
