Toddler Catapulted into River in Moto Accident
Cambodia News (Kandal): On May 19, 2020, at 6:30 am, a freak motorbike accident caused a 2-year-old boy, Sruy Sok, to be thrown from a bridge under construction into the river in Sethbong village, Takmao city, Kandal.
Before the incident, a woman was driving her motorbike across the bridge with her two-year-old son, taking food for her husband at the bridge construction site. It had just finished raining, and the road was wet and slippery which caused her motorbike to fall over. Due to the impact, her baby was thrown from the bridge into the river. Locals at the accident scene immediately tried to search the river for the kid, but could not find him.
On May 20, 2020, a search team consisting of police and local people were still searching for the body. RIP.
