Today's Sihanoukville Police Traffic Checkpoint Results

Preah Sihanouk province - Major General Choun Narin, Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police Commissioner said that on June 12, 2018, traffic police had checked that motorists were obeying traffic laws, especially drivers without a driver's license or international driver's license.

* Total inspection results of 83 vehicles, including 8 cars, are as follows:
1. Motorcyclists not wearing a helmet - 67 persons.
2. Motorcyclists with no wing mirror - 7 persons.
3. The driver of a car not wearing a seatbelt - 1 person fined.
4. Traffic light punishments (driving through red light) - 2 persons
5. Chinese Driving Without a License (Under Sub-Decree No 44) - 2 persons (Chinese)
According to police, there were another four Chinese drivers who were stopped, but they were in possession of Cambodian or international driving licenses, allowing them to drive normally.

NOTE: An international driver's license is acceptable in Sihanoukville, and this is according to the Chief of Sihanoukville Police.

Sihanoukville (FN), June 22 - Sihanoukville provincial police, on Thursday night, detained five Chinese nationals for driving without licenses and no plate numbers.
Five vehicles and the illegal drivers were sent to the provincial traffic office for further legal procedures.

Maybe the plates are fake, and/or the drivers dont have the registration card, or its not in their name and they have no proof of ownership ?

Preah Sihanouk Province - June 23, 2018, the Sihanoukville traffic police installed a check point to inspect traffic laws, especially those drivers with no driver's license, or who have an incorrect international driver license.
3 Chinese men were found to be driving without a license, one paid a fine, and the other two had their vehicles confiscated. Six car drivers were fined for not wearing a seat belt, and 37 motorcyclists were stopped for not wearing a helmet.

Sihanoukville: On July 30, 2018,the traffic police collaborated with police forces in a stop and search vehicle inspection.As well as a general search for illegal possession of explosives, weapons, and drugs, police were detaining drivers who were driving without a license, those driving under the influence of alcohol, and those driving in the wrong direction.
12 Chinese vehicles that got detained:

1. LEXUS RX300 white, Plate No.PP 2X-8032.
2. BMW Plate no. PP2AU-5853.
3- HIGHLANDER, plates No. Sihanoukville 2B-2019.
4- MERCEDES black, plates no. Sihanoukville 2BF-1818.
5-HIGHLANDER, plate no. PP 2AL-4425.
6-HIGHLANDER, Plate no.Sihanoukville 2B-2088.
7-Black CRV Black, plate no. Phnom Penh, 2I-4375.
8-White ALPHARD, Plate no. Phnom Penh 2AT-9152.
9-White ALPHARD, plate no. Phnom Penh, 2AK-1388.
10-LEXUS RX300 plates No. 2AN-6519.
11-LEXUS RX300 white plate no. Phnom Penh, 2AR-3778.
12- The white KIA, plate number Phnom Penh, 2AJ-7699.

All vehicles were taken to keep at the traffic police station.

Preah Sihanouk province - A report by Traffic Police of Preah Sihanouk province says that at around 10 pm on December 3, 2018, on the Independence road leading to the traffic police station in Village 3, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville traffic police force stopped and checked vehicles for drunken driving and driving without a driver's license.
Results:
1. 25 positive alcohol tests.
2) 14 automobiles driven by Chinese nationals were impounded and driven to the Traffic Police Office, but one vehicle was released when a license was produced. Most of the cars that were confiscated by police were either Lexus or Highlanders, but there was also one BMW.

My H&M stuff is made in China too but it’s not disgustingly garish like that stuff!

Reminds me of these wolf fleeces I often saw in England a few years ago.
