More insane U-turns necessitated, tank-trap manholes and parking spots for minivans/ sellers.

If they are going to construct a more sophisticated road system, then they are going have to start teaching people how to drive correctly or things are going to get worse. More roads don't make less accidents.
This is catastrophic - maths isn't my best subject, but 1803 people divided by 38 (weeks) gives me 47.7 people killed every week in road accidents ! That's almost 7 a day - crazy.
http://www.phnompenhpost.com/national/d ... 800-so-farMore than 1,800 people have died on Cambodia’s roads so far this year, representing an almost 4 per cent increase in casualties compared to the same period in 2014.
Speaking yesterday, Interior Ministry public order police chief Run Rath Veasna said 1,803 people have been killed in traffic accidents with more than a week of September left to go. This time last year, 1,734 people had died – meaning almost two more people have died each week on average in 2015.
“Human error and fault is still the main factor, causing 93 per cent of traffic crashes,” Veasna said, adding that speeding, dangerous manoeuvres and drink driving were the most common causes...

I have ridden just about every brand of popular motorcycle's there is in 54 years. I love riding, but have stopped because riding in Cambodia its not fun/enjoyable. Its not a matter of if some idiot driver in Cambodia is going to hit you, but when. I blame it 100% on lax police enforcement of the laws. Its raining, so you know the police won't be out. They sit at the usual spots. They have cars and police bikes, but don't patrol, don't stop anyone and break the laws while they are driving thus setting a bad example.

I am surprised there is no mention of not driving his own car to PP on the death highway and putting his life into the hands of an over skilled Cambodian bus driver instead .

I wouldn't drive a moto here but only because after 20 minutes your arse hurts.

Maybe not just your arsecptrelentless wrote:I wouldn't drive a moto here but only because after 20 minutes your arse hurts.
TROUBLE GETTING one up? A study has revealed men that ride motorcycles are at risk of impotence and urinary problems because the vibration of the engine damages nerves in their penises. http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-new ... /6001.html
Also avoid giving ladyboys a lift on the back of your moto

I'm glad when there are more roads. But when the roads are under construction, it is too much traffic.
