Thief Gets Brutal Beat Down Outside TK Avenue, Toul Kork

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Stealing, robbing and everything you do to harm other people are bad. I have zero sympathy for these kind of men. Don't ever always use the excuse of being poor, that why you steal, snatch and rob from people. This is not make sense. Sometime, those who were snatched or robbed are way poorer than. If i remember correctly, there was a thread talking about a girl whose salary roughly $50 was snatched once. The amount of money that she lost was almost her whole month salary. So not all victims were rich and not all of those robbers and snatcher were poor. Some videos i shared showing that they were driving luxury motorbike to snatch and rob people.

forced to steal This is really unreasonable. Instead of stealing and snatching from people, why can't they just look for a job.

I'm just not sure the mutually assured ass-whooping policy is going to do much to deter petty crime. So in the end its just brutality for nothing. I think its ridiculous to say that the very poor are forced to rob. I think it's slightly less ridiculous to state that the drug-addicted are forced to rob, but I also think that people who take drugs also take responsibility for their actions while on the drugs and while addicted to the drugs.

Mainly I just think these guys are very base and savage for kicking the shit out of someone they don't even know out of some displaced revenge for a different thief that fucked them over in the distant past. It's very pre-enlightenment human behavior and its not going to get us to the colony spaceships any time soon, IMO.

Kicking a guy on the ground - even if it's more pitter-pattering than actually kicking - is always a really weak thing to do. Nothing to say against the victim(s) beating the thief up a bit but it much more looks like there's random people and passers-by taking a free shot on beating up somebody while hardly knowing what it is about. Strongly doubt tho that's gonna be a lesson for someone who's robbing for whatever reason.

Theft on an unprecedented scale is respectable - the rich are good people.

Petty theft and getting caught are unacceptable.
