Thief gets beaten up at a funeral trying to lift a handbag
PHNOM PENH - At 9pm on October 15, a loitering would-be thief spotted a handbag sitting on a chair unattended during a funeral ceremony outside a house on National Road 1, Russey Thmey Village, Nilor Commune, Chbar Ampov District.
However, as the thief was removing the bag and about to make his getaway, he was spotted by a waiter who whacked the thief in the head and knocked him to the ground. He was held in custody until the police arrived to take him away.
The bag belonged to one of the guests and was found to contain 760 baht and a black iPhone 6.

Re: Thief gets beaten up at a funeral trying to lift a handbag
In another thief smackdown, a burglar ended up with a broken head after breaking into a house yesterday.
PHNOM PENH - A man awoke in the middle of the night to find he had been robbed. The victim, 41-year-old Ven Veasna, 41, a military resident, residing in Prey Tea Village, Sangkat Chom Chao 3, Khan Por Senchey, got up immediately, opened his door, and caught the two thieves as they were leaving the property.
He promptly picked up a rock and threw it at one of the burglars. They tried to escape by jumping into the canal, but neighbors heard the cries and joined the chase. The police took the two thieves into custody.
Strangely enough, even though the victim reported losing 200,000 riel, only 58,000r was recovered along with a black purse.

Yes, that rock the popo threw must have bounced of the jao, hit the wall and ricochet into the jao again. About 15 times.....frank lee bent wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2017 5:29 pm a popo by the look of his pic.
