Autopilot in general won't help with unmarked lanes, or if other drivers don't drive within the lanes as in PP

Safety aid technologies such as automated driving, collision avoidance, lane departure, auto-braking, not driving on sidewalks, etc., all depend on the premise of orderly, organized traffic rules. In the Kingdom of Wonder, insane drivers routinely clip the corner curbs, drive the wrong way, etc. six pairs of eyes are required for driving (and just walking around).
I can just imagine the face of Mr. Ohkna in his brand new (and very expensive) self driving Tesla when it suddenly refuses to let him park on the sidewalk. Or pulls over and stops when ordered by the police. Or lets lesser cars in front of him pass.
