Siem Reap, Cambodia: Pirmin Ramel, a 32 year old Swiss national who has been running a holiday villa (Villa Shanti) was arrested Friday for allegations of sexually abusing 3 young boys, aged between 7 and 9, according to child protection NGO Action Pour Les Enfants (APLE).

Pirmin Ramel became the subject an investigation by APLE after a report from another child protection organization in Cambodia and a report from the general public who came across his online activities as suspicious.

Khoem Vando, APLE's deputy of field operations said, "His ( Pirmin Ramel) offline behavior as well as his online behavior raised serious concerns and warranted an investigation to be opened. After APLE identified a boy who testified that he had been sexually exploited, we advocated strongly with police to conduct official interviews and to identify more victims "

When he was arrested, they confiscated his computer and other electronic devices for further investigation.

For such a small country, the Swiss have a disproportionate number of pedophiles arrested in Cambodia.

That said, watermarking photos of pedophiles in bed with underage kids with the "cambodiaexpatsonline" badge is totally creepy.

C.N. has a valid point. It's not a problem to post the story or the pics...but putting the CEO watermark on them is awkward. Those pics will long outlast the news story.

C.N. has a valid point. It's not a problem to post the story or the pics...but the logic of putting the CEO watermark on them is questionable. It looks like "this pedo photo is sponsored by CEO.com. Come to CEO for all your pedo pic needs" kind of thing. We aren't DATELINE. You don't want your site to be associated with those particular types of pics. Those pics will long outlast the news story.

Those photos are insane. And on FB?!? Is this guy like the stupidest pedophile in Cambodia? Did he want to get caught? Why would somebody involved in criminal activity post photos like that on his FB page along with his location and photo?
