Re: Sweden warns they may rethink engagement with Cambodia
Fuck Sweden, the country was so full of socialist bullshit in the 1970s that they sent a delegation to hang out with Pol Pot. Now they think they have some moral superiority?

Is Australia turning quixotic again?
OK, not my specialty, Aussie politics.
*AND* at the risk of sounding unsympathetic to the benign, gentle people of the Kingdom ...
But didn't Australia make a southern route railway, but leave because of too many complaints of "hapless villagers?"
Didn't both Australia and America make sacrifices in the 1800s and early 1900s to create a modern nation today?
People think we're in the 21st century here in Cambodia! Bwahahaha!
I think by their calendar we're at Year 42 A.K.R.
Perhaps analogous to 1850s–early 1900s (U.S.) gold rush / robber baron-era.
Pretty cool back then, but instead of barouche carriages then they have Land Rovers now.
Not a very strong central government at the time. I think AUS/NZ had just became a country with ANZAC Day in 1915.
(Strange fact, Australia up until 1850 was also like Cambodia, a penal colony, full of venturing enterprises, criminals, and giant rodents *the size of small kangaroos*.)
Can't we learn from history, since it seems we're due to repeat it?

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.
Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.

The rest of the western world waited until the Vietnamese invaded before they hung out with Pol Pot. That lasted for over ten years and we gave him a seat at the UN. The legitimate government of cambodia.

If Sweden and Cambodia had premarital sex during this engagement and bastard child resulted, would it look like a capybara?

Sweden can pull out of Cambodia if they want to I suppose, but the Australians still have that refugee deal, FWIW.
