Suspected Homicide on the Thai Border
Battambang province, Cambodia News: The body of a Cambodian man was found close to the border, in an area of bush and scrub about 100 meters into Thailand, near Sampov Loun district, Battambang province. The man has been identified as a 43-year-old inhabitant of Sraol Chrum village, Serey Meanchey commune, Sampov Loun district.
Thai border officials have taken the body for examination, and laboratory results have not yet been released. Thai and Cambodian police are cooperating on the case, which is being treated as a suspected homicide according to the preliminary report.

Poipet International Border Gate is temporarily closed

According to the authorities, the International Border Gate to the Poipet international border checkpoint was temporarily closed from April 21 and will reopen on April 22, 2019.
