As of yesterday, the ice whore is at SHV police station while the old man is still at the gendarmerie. That could sounds like good news for him but I wouldn't bet a dollar on his drug free habits.

Re: 2 Suspected Drug Traffickers Arrested in Sihanoukville
Three people, including a British national, were arrested in two separate drug busts on Saturday in Preah Sihanouk and Stung Treng provinces, police said Sunday.
On Saturday, police raided the rented room of British national David Reader, 66, and his girlfriend Lim Saron, 34, at the Power House Guest House in Sihanoukville’s Buon commune, said Long Kimhour, the Sihanoukville military police chief.
Police found them in possession of four small plastic bags containing 77.8 grams of methamphetamine, one bong and one pipe, both used for smoking the drug, Mr. Kimhour said.
He added that undercover police officers bought $150 worth of methamphetamine from the couple on two separate occasions over a two-month period before deciding to make Saturday’s arrest.
“We spent a lot of time watching them,” he said.
Mr. Reader, who is retired and has lived in Sihanoukville for six years, claimed the drugs belonged to Ms. Saron, Mr. Kimhour said.
“Both of them were sent to Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court [Saturday] and they were charged with drug distribution and use,” Mr. Kimhour said, adding that they are now being held in provisional detention.
In a separate case, anti-drug police in Stung Treng province arrested a man in Stung Treng City Saturday after he smuggled.......

I would just about stake my life that Snowy doesn't use ice, beer a lot yes, ice no. He recently complaining about the bitch's getting money from him and he had cut them off. The key word here is them. This looks like a set up by a whore that either got pissed because the sugar-train stopped producing or she got busted and dropped a dime the other ice-whore and Dave got caught up because he rented the room
. Recent word is that the cop money train has started and it costs $$ just to talk with him and Oh! the cops need new office equipment. Well, the cops here may be corrupt scumbags, but unlike the US attorney locked judicial system, the money trail is a lot cheaper here.

As for the bet on this particular case, I have seen things with my own eyes that would make you lose your stake. Please refrain to do so as I am not here to collect.

So the cops are useless because your "friend" decided to surround himself with whores who partake in the use of Crystal Methamphetamines? Your boy looks healthy and fine. I would guess he was set up too. That sucks, for sure. But do you know who isn't set up for a drug bust? People who don't surround themselves with prostitutes high on Meth.... Cops suck but so did "Snowy's" judgement. He has had 70 years on this Earth to figure out the sorts of people that are good to hang out with and the sorts you shouldn't hang out with.Sailorman wrote:I know this guy (Snowy) and I would put money on that he doesn't use drugs. Drinks a lot of beer, but drugs no way! He has been hanging around with some ice-whores though and they have been sucking money from him. A mutual friend said that Snowy cut the whores off from his money and it looks like one of them set him up. One of the ice-whores probably got busted and dropped a dime on Snowy to get out of jail. Totally bogus arrest (him not her)
Interestingly I see handcuffs on the ice-whore, but none on Snowy (Dave.) He couldn't outrun anyone anyway. The cops realize what's going on and are just looking for money as usual and pissed that PP cops busted some ice people last month in their territory or the PP didn't get enough money from the last setup/bust.
Ice-whores and the like that use the stuff are usually very jumpy and all over the place when you talk to them. Snowy on the other hand is very laid-back, never agitated, jumpy, or the fourty-yard jump/stare of a user. I would bet any amount of money that he was so laid back (and being lead around by the dumbstick) that he let the ice-whores use him, his place and his money No money, no honey.
Once again the cops in Cambodia are a bunch of useless sacks of sh*t. (almost as bad as US thugs/police) Anyone recognize the uniforms on these dirtbags? PP police or Snooky/local? They should be the ones doing the purp-walk.
I usually don't deal with my embassy very much, but I am filing a complaint to be put in travelers alerts that Cambo police are now planting evidence and setting foreigners up to extort money.
I'll give ya 500 Riel for it...

The cops suck because well, they are cops and very corrupt ones. The cops here don't go after the big fish because they are either the big fish themselves, they want to eliminate competition or start the money/extortion trail. These particular cops may not have anything to do with the highways, but I still hold them responsible for all the death on the streets and Highway #4 the "Death Highway From Hell"
Yes, Dave made some bad decisions in who he associated with, but I smell a rat here and the word "setup" comes to mind. Set an old, lonely expat up with young addicted women who may have been arrested and are working for the cops and then bust the expat and splash it all over the news and let the money machine start. (just speculation on my part, but police have done it before.) Believe me, in this case the money machine is working. Just to see him in jail, bribes have to be paid and for a better jail cell bribes have been requested.

It is well known some cops are the biggest dealers. That makes any foreigner going on their turf a fucktard.Sailorman wrote:The cops suck because well, they are cops and very corrupt ones. For the road deaths I would blame all Cambodians rather than cops who as you state aren't the same as for the drugs cases.
As for the money machine you refer to, welcome to a third world country.
It might be time you head back to a nanny state...

Barang_doa_slae: I'll head back to the nanny/police state about the same time as you get half a brain and utter something that isn't total BS.
Just got this information from Dave. He had kicked the ice-whores out of his place, but one was visiting. He stopped giving all of them money. The large square packet of ice in the close up picture for sure came with the corrupt cops as he turned his back on the table with the police/scum in attendance and magically it appeared on the table when he turned around a second later. To get into a better cell the head of the local gendarmerie wants a $300. printer and to make everything go away a $6000. donation to the widows and orphans fund.(his pocket.) I told our mutual contact to tell him to pay it so we will maybe see the evidence disappear (and be used in another bust/scam) Yes, Scambodia
In the second bust, does the square packet of drugs look like the same one from Dave's bust. (can't let good drugs go to waste.)

From experience and unfortunately for him, if he was indicted already it is too late to pay for a quick way out. Reducing quantities involved is usually paid through the court as already mentioned in the charges.Sailorman wrote:Barang_doa_slae: I'll head back to the nanny/police state about the same time as you get half a brain and utter something that isn't total BS.

His best luck is the Cambodians don't like to give big sentences for drug offenses to old people (see today's newspapers kampot pot plantation article )
However I have from good source that a 1000$ worth of product was his and I happened to step in the same room as he was consuming about 10 days ago. Enough BS ?
