Suspect Steals Tuktuk and Paints It Purple
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On October 20, 2020, the criminal police collaborated with police from Khan Toul Kok police station, together with the serious crime police of the Ministry of Interior, in the search for a suspect who stole a white PassApp tuk-tuk.
A 37 year old man, Pich Vanny, was arrested Sangakt Psar Thmie 2, Khan Don Penh, Phnom Penh, for stealing a PassApp tuk-tuk in Sangakat Beung Kok2, Khan Daun Penh, on October 15, 2020, at 4 am. The suspect had painted the white tuktuk purple to disguise it. However, the police were not fooled.

Re: Suspect Steals Tuktuk and Paints It Purple
So, is it official that 'PassApp Tuk-Tuk' is a recognized type of tuk-tuk?
Re: Suspect Steals Tuktuk and Paints It Purple
Seems to be gaining recognition as a generic term now
Re: Suspect Steals Tuktuk and Paints It Purple
He would probably have been better off painting it yellow

I think he may have also stolen the shoes he’s wearing, they look about 10 sizes too big for his feet.

This passes as serious crime?
What about the young women who recently fell out of high rise building lately or the drug dealers with the AK47 and their successful shoot-out with the police (and got away). Any updates or arrests in those matters? Or are they too busy chasing stolen tuks?

Usually the serious crime unit is very busy catching little old ladies playing cards.
