I might be wrong, but I think that since Loryman was arrested and jailed last November, he will be released from jail and deported in a few months time when the year is up.
Is there any chance that after he gets deported, they can/will charge him in the UK for child sex crimes committed in Cambodia ? Anyone know ? A one year conviction is pathetic.

Nobody gets deported after serving a sentence. It's a problem.

APLE seems to think that he will be banned from Cambodia.
APLE applauds ruling to bar British paedophile from entering Kingdom

Child protection NGO Action Pour Les Enfants (APLE Cambodia) applauded the Phnom Penh Municipal Court’s ruling on Friday which barred a Briton from returning to Cambodia after he was sentenced to 15 months behind bars for sexual abuse against minors.
At his trial on Friday, Stephen John Loryman was found guilty of “committing sexual acts against minors under 15” according to the Law on the Suppression of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation.
The court suspended three-months of his sentence and banned him from entering Cambodia for three years after serving his jail terms. Loryman was also ordered to pay six million riel ($1,500) in compensation to two victims and an additional fine of three million riel.

You can get charged, that's how they got Glitter. It depends on the charge and the sentencing. If the sentence in the UK would be significantly more they can bung you in prison for the rest of it. It's case by case, though.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 5:47 pmAgree.Sweet Lemon wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 12:34 pm Sentenced to a year in prison and a three year ban from Cambodia. If you are a US citizen and go to another country to have sex with someone under 18 you will be prosecuted regardless of the age of consent in the country travelled to.phnompenhsteve wrote: ↑Sat Dec 22, 2018 7:24 amYea maybe. Anyhow this is how it's supposed to work.John Bingham wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 10:30 pmAs far as I know anyone messing around with someone below the age of 18 is likely to find themselves in a whole world of shit, wether the laws stipulate that or not isn't the issue. The fact that some locals might sometimes get married at younger ages isn't the point. What it says on the papers and how it works are quite different issues.phnompenhsteve wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 9:24 pmThe age of consent in Cambodia is 15( unless money is involved).jekkar wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 7:32 am Perhaps someone can explain this, if the age of consent is 14, and then he gets charged with sex acts with a minor under 15, isn't the law still based around the age of 18 for foreigners involved with Khmer male or female? Wouldn't he still be in deep shit unless they were all 18+? It seems really complicated, why don't they just say sex acts with a minor? Or would they not throw the book at the guy if the kids were 16? I was under the impression that all foreigners are subject to the laws of their home countries in these situations?
It says that the boys were 10-14 so they were under the age of consent making any sexual contact illegal.
The Age of Consent in Cambodia is 15 years old. The age of consent is the minimum age at which an individual is considered legally old enough to consent to participation in sexual activity. Individuals aged 14 or younger in Cambodia are not legally able to consent to sexual activity, and such activity may result in prosecution for statutory rape or the equivalent local law.
Cambodia statutory rape law is violated when an individual has consensual sexual contact with a person under age 15. However, purchasing sex from a minor under age 18 is illegal.

Being married to a woman means norhing, it's called a Beard. I'm sure you know that. The problem is not a gay or straight problem, it's a pedophile problem..cptrelentless wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 8:39 amHe's a married man, as described in the OP. It's people like you, not the gays, that rape children.
